You ever wonder how to succeed more in your career, how to work on your self-growth and live the dreams and goals that you want to accomplish. I'm here to help you on the journey.

Let's jump on in.....

What is career development?

Career development is the process of making decisions for long-term learning to align personal needs of physical or psychological fulfillment with career advancement opportunities.

Here are some examples of increasing your development for your career:

1.Work On Goals That Matter

This means working on the things that achieve the most goals. Not fixating on subjects or distractions that further you from reaching them.

2.Use a Reliable Personal Organization System

To be organized throughout your day and know what needs to be done efficiently.

For example: When I first started writing for my blog I used to be all over the place without any organization. I would write for 10 minutes, hop on Pinterest and create pins. Then back to writing, and then studying things that wouldn't benefit me until the future.

3.Learn to Earn More

By this, it means to learn what you need to know. To improve your career in the place that you are at now.

4.Maintain Focus on Results Rather Than Time

This is a big one for me because I believe more in attention management. I write about it in my article here: 10 ways to AMP up your personal Productivity.

Basically, it means to focus on what you are doing. You can spend 3 hours doing something for your career, but if you are more focused on the time, you are not going at it 100 percent.

So pro tip: set an alarm, put it away, and deep focus.

Here are some examples of career development:

  • Continuing Education

  • Participation in professional organizations.

  • Research.

  • Improve job performance.

  • Increased duties and responsibilities.

  • Approaches to professional development:

  • Skill-Based Training.

  • Job Assignments.

What is personal development?

There are 3 different types of personal development

1.Improving your self-awareness

That means that you are aware of yourself. What motivates you, your character, feeling, and your desires.

2.Knowing and building your own identity.

Doing this is helps you find out your values. Make your own decisions, and consider how to achieve your goals.

3.Discover and develop your talents.

To get a better understanding of your strengths and weakness. To know where you will excel at.

There are 5 areas of personal development as well.

1.Mind

This is where we work on our mental mindset. Where you established if you are a fixed or growth mindset.

Here is an article that helps you determine which one you are and what it means: The Art of Mindset: Grow into Growth.

4.Emotional

This can be journaling, tracking your moods, and anything to grow your behavior into a positive mindset to create a brighter future.
